Meet Dr. Matthew DeFelice
Meet Dr. Matthew DeFelice
- Dr. Matthew A. DeFelice earned his Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University in 1991, then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He furthered his education by completing a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. During his residency, he decided to apply to another residency, this time in oral surgery. He was accepted into the program at Boston University Medical Center and completed his general surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency there in 2000. Throughout his years of education, he was awarded numerous scholarships.
- Dr. DeFelice is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA). He is a diplomate of both organizations and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
- Dr. DeFelice decided to become a dentist because of the satisfaction he receives by helping and healing others. The best part of his job is being able to work with his hands, and he believes that his compassion is what his patients appreciate most about his treatment.
